Recently, a collage of three photos claiming to show Virat Kohli and his daughter Vamika together has been circulating on social media. It is being claimed that these are real photos of them.

Fact-check

An investigation by the Rumor Scanner team found that the circulated images are not real; rather, they were generated using artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

At the beginning of the investigation, the Rumor Scanner team observed the images in question and identified an inconsistency. In the first of the three images, Vamika’s face looks different from the faces in the other two images.

Additionally, no credible source contains any such photo of Kohli and his daughter. According to Indian media reports (India.com), Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have not released any photos or revealed the faces of their daughter Vamika or son Akaay, considering the safety and privacy of their children.

Later, the images were analyzed using two AI content detection websites—‘Sightengine’ and ‘Hive Moderation’. According to both platforms, there is a 99% probability that the images were generated using AI.
