Recently, an X account named ‘Tulsi for President’ posted a video claiming it shows a protest in Dhaka, Bangladesh, against U.S. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, alleging that the protest happened because she spoke out against Yunus’s interim government.
Later, some pro-AL activists, including Sushanta Das Gupta, shared a screenshot of the post from the handle ‘Tulsi for President’, presenting it as an official response or tweet from DNI Tulsi Gabbard. However, the handle ‘Tulsi for President’ is not an official account of Tulsi Gabbard, but rather a fan account.
We also found that the claim posted by the X handle ‘Tulsi for President’ had previously been circulated by several pro-AL accounts.

Fact-Check
Rumor Scanner’s investigation found that the claim of a protest against U.S. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard in Dhaka is false. The video shared with the claim is an old video from August 6, 2024, and is not related to any protest against DNI Tulsi Gabbard.
Our investigation led us to a Facebook post by an account named Md. Abdul Karim, who posted the original video on August 6, 2024, with a caption that reads, “Hizb ut-Tahrir procession from Curzon Hall (Dhaka University)…”

We also found a different video of the procession by the banned outfit Hizb ut-Tahrir, posted on the same day. The text on the banner they carried during the procession is clearly visible in this video and translates to: “Hizb ut-Tahrir congratulates the students and people for their courageous struggle to overthrow the tyrant Hasina.”

Thus, the video that has been shared, claiming to show a protest against DNI Tulsi Gabbard in Dhaka, is actually an old video from August 6, 2024. It shows a procession by the banned outfit Hizbut Tahrir, which took place before the formation of the current interim government and has no connection to any protest against DNI Tulsi Gabbard.
Therefore, the claim of a protest against DNI Tulsi Gabbard in Dhaka is false.
