Fact-check
Rumor Scanner Team’s investigation found that the video being circulated is not related to the June 26 rape allegation in Muradnagar. Instead, the video is from a different rape case, which has been online since at least September 25, 2024.
During the investigation, a longer version of the circulated video was found in a post dated November 2, 2024, from an X account named ‘@k36077’.

According to the post’s caption, on the night of September 25, in Halder Para area of Choto Chogram, Natore district, a local Muslim and BNP leader named Rabiul Islam allegedly raped a Hindu housewife named Swapna Halder by force.
Additionally, in the video, the survivor can be heard mentioning the name “Rabiul” as the accused.
Following this lead, a relevant keyword search revealed a report published on the Jugantor website on September 26, 2024, titled “Housewife raped at gunpoint after intruder enters home”.
The report stated:
“In Natore’s Singra, a neighbor named Rabiul Islam allegedly raped a housewife by force. On Wednesday [September 25] at dawn, taking advantage of her husband’s absence as he went fishing, the intruder entered the house, held the woman at gunpoint, and raped the Hindu woman.”
Similar information was also found in a report published on the News24 website.
Conclusion
Therefore, a video of a rape survivor from a completely different incident in 2024 is being falsely presented as the survivor’s statement in connection to the June 26 rape allegation in Muradnagar, Cumilla—which is misleading.
