Fact-Check
Upon investigation by the Rumor Scanner team, it was found that the circulated video does not depict Awami League leaders recently arriving in Odisha, India, for a meeting with former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Instead, the footage shows Chief Minister of Punjab, Pakistan, Maryam Nawaz arriving in Mian Channu under heavy security in 2024.
At the beginning of the investigation, a reverse image search of keyframes led to the discovery of a video published on August 13, 2024, on the Pakistani media outlet SUNO NEWS HD’s YouTube channel titled:
Exclusive | CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz Helicopter Entry at Mian Channu | Heavy Protocol | Arshad Nadeem. The circulated video matches this original video.

According to the description of that video, it shows Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz arriving in Mian Channu by helicopter, with tight security and protocol arrangements made for her visit. Renowned Olympian Arshad Nadeem was also present. The event highlights Punjab’s political context and the presence of influential figures.
Following this lead, the same video was also found on the YouTube channel of the Pakistani media outlet Express News. This video also confirms the same information.
So, the video does not show Awami League leaders recently arriving in Odisha, India, for a meeting.
Conclusion
Therefore, a scene from an unrelated 2024 event in Pakistan has been falsely circulated as footage of Awami League leaders arriving in Odisha, India, to meet Sheikh Hasina. This claim is false.
