An investigation by the Rumor Scanner team found that there is no such position as a “female adviser on Gaza” in Netanyahu’s government. In reality, a video of the Swedish Health Minister suddenly falling ill during a press conference last September has been circulated with the said claim.
An investigation into this matter found a video posted on the X account of the Australian TV program ‘The Project’ on September 10. The segment from 19 seconds to 23 seconds of this video matches the video circulated with the claim.
The video’s caption claims that Health Minister Elisabeth Lann was injured after suddenly falling during a press conference in Sweden. She collapsed to the ground while standing next to Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and other officials and listening to a speech. She sustained a head injury, and the conference was immediately called off.
Further investigation led to a report published on the website of Turkey’s national news agency, ‘Anadolu Agency’, on September 9, which states that Sweden’s newly appointed Health Minister, Elisabeth Lann, suddenly fell during her first press conference in Stockholm on September 9. The incident occurred while the government was presenting her as the new health minister, following the abrupt resignation of former minister Acko Ankarberg Johansson from both her ministerial and parliamentary duties. Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and Minister for Energy and Industry Ebba Busch were present at the press conference. When Lann suddenly fell, Busch quickly went to her side to assist. A short while later, Lann stood up on her own and said to the journalists, “Today was not a normal Tuesday. This can happen when your blood sugar level drops.”
At that time, other international media outlets also published news (1, 2, 3) on the matter.
Notably, last February, Caroline Glick began her role as Israel’s adviser on international affairs.
Therefore, a video showing the Swedish Health Minister suddenly falling ill during a press conference has been circulated with the claim that it shows the death of Netanyahu’s alleged female adviser on Gaza; which is false.
