The Rumor Scanner Team’s investigation reveals that the claim suggesting a Muslim man engaged in Zikr while cutting the boundary (an earthen mound marking the land’s border) of a Hindu person’s property is false. Instead, a humorous video circulating online has been misrepresented to promote this false claim.
During the investigation, a video was found on the Facebook page Shahin Bhai 01, published on July 9, 2024. The video, captioned ‘Cutting someone else’s land boundary beautifully with Zikr,’ matches the widely circulated video and images associated with the claim. The video features Shahinur Islam, a content creator who runs the Shahin Bhai 01 page, where he regularly publishes humorous content (Example 1, Example 2).
A comparison of the original and circulated videos revealed structural differences. The widely shared video was manipulated using a ‘mirror image effect’ applied to the original 2024 footage. As a result, objects on the right side of the original video appear on the left in the altered version, and vice versa.
Conclusion
Therefore, the video circulated with the claim that a Muslim person cut the boundary of a Hindu person’s land is fabricated.
