Fact Check
Rumor Scanner Team’s investigation found that the discussed video is not from Bangladesh. In reality, it is a video from Rajasthan, India, where a man was hung upside down from an excavator and beaten over theft allegations.
In this investigation, the same video was found in a post published on May 24 from an X (formerly Twitter) account named ‘তন্ময় l T͞anmoy l’ here. According to the caption, the incident in the video took place in Rajasthan, India. There, a dumper driver was hung upside down from a JCB (excavator) machine and beaten over theft allegations.
Additionally, on an Instagram profile named ‘The Bharat Pulse’, another video here from a different angle of the same incident can be found.
There is also a resemblance between the discussed video and the report and images published in a top Indian daily, The Indian Express here. According to the report, although the incident originally occurred in April, it recently went viral on social media and sparked widespread criticism. Subsequently, on May 24 (Saturday), an FIR was filed in connection with the incident, and police arrested the two accused individuals.

Therefore, the video of a man being hung and beaten with an excavator in India has been falsely circulated as an incident from Bangladesh.
