Rumor Scanner Team’s investigation reveals that although it was claimed that 9 Hindu individuals killed in the July 2024 student-popular uprising were not recognized by the government due to their religion, these individuals are in fact listed in the government-issued martyr list of the July Uprising 2024.

At the start of the investigation, a gazette of the July Uprising 2024 martyrs list published by the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs was found on the websites of the Directorate General of Health Services, Health Services Division, and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. You can find the gazette here. The Hindu individuals mentioned in the post are listed in that gazette. Their names are as follows:

145 – Rakhin Biswas
149 – Riya Gop
150 – Hriday Chandra Tarua
396 – Saikat Chandra Dey
487 – Tanoy Chandra Dash
495 – Ripon Chandra Shil
582 – Rudra Sen

Additionally, after the claim-based post came to the government’s attention, on July 9 a statement was issued on X by the Press Wing of the Chief Advisor calling the claim false. You can read that statement here.
