Chinese Fire Video Shared as Blaze at Mossad Headquarters

In the context of the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict, a video is being circulated on social media claiming to show a fire at the main headquarters of Israel’s national intelligence agency Mossad in Tel Aviv.

Some of the Facebook posts spreading this claim include: Here, Here, Here, Here.

Fact Check

The Rumor Scanner team’s investigation found that the video does not show Mossad’s main headquarters. Rather, it depicts a fire in a motorcycle parking area in China.

In this investigation, a video was found posted on June 11 on a TikTok profile named ‘Wbo’, which visually matches the circulated video. Although the caption in Chinese says “terrible fire,” no specific location or detailed information is mentioned.

Further investigation revealed that photos and videos posted the same day by an X account named ‘Facts Prime’ also match the circulated video. The post stated that a severe fire broke out at a motorcycle parking lot in the Shiqiaopu area of China, burning many motorcycles and electric vehicles.

Comparison: Rumor Scanner

A report published by the BBC on June 12 stated that the fire occurred in the Shiqiaopu area of Jiulongpo District, Chongqing city in southwest China. The video shows thick smoke rising from the fire as local residents watch. According to the local fire department, the blaze was brought under control in just 20 minutes, and no casualties were reported.

Conclusion

A video of a fire in a motorcycle parking area in China has been falsely shared online as footage of a fire at Mossad’s main headquarters. This claim is false.
