An investigation by the Rumor Scanner team found that the video claiming “four brothers from the same family in Mymensingh, Bangladesh, married one woman” does not reflect a real event. Instead, a scripted or acted video was used to push this narrative.

During the investigation, a video was found on the Disha 24 YouTube channel, published on February 2, titled “In Bhaluka, four brothers marry one wife, goes viral online | Short film 2025.” This video closely resembles the one shared with the false claim.

The title mentions “Short film 2025.” Furthermore, the Disha 24 YouTube channel description states that it features Bangla short films and Bangla dramas.

Later, the same video appeared in a Facebook post by the page Village life3, dated January 31, with the caption “One wife of four brothers, and then…”

On inspection, the Village life3 Facebook page is labeled as a “Reel creator” and consistently posts entertainment-focused content.

Notably, two separate videos were also found on this page where two of the men seen in the original video introduce the woman as their sister-in-law and younger sister, respectively.

This confirms that the video shared under the viral claim is scripted.
