Fact-Check
Rumor Scanner’s investigation revealed that the video in question does not depict Israeli citizens apologizing to Iran; rather, it is a fake video created using artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
At the beginning of the investigation, Rumor Scanner found no credible media coverage or reliable source confirming that such an event actually took place. The analysis also uncovered several AI-generated inconsistencies in the video. For instance, the young man in a blue shirt leading the march is initially empty-handed, but a flag suddenly appears in his hand, disrupting visual continuity. The text on the placards also appears distorted and inconsistent.Notably, a watermark labeled “Veo” is visible in the bottom right corner of the video. Research indicates that Veo is an advanced AI tool developed by Google that can generate realistic eight-second videos from text prompts. Coincidentally, this video is exactly eight seconds long.

To further verify, the video was analyzed using the AI content detection platform Hive Moderation, which found a 99% probability that the video was AI-generated.

Therefore, a video generated using AI has been falsely circulated on social media as footage of Israeli citizens apologizing to Iran. This claim is completely false.
