Recently, a video titled “Sheikh Hasina is still the Prime Minister of Bangladesh: Donald Trump” has spread across social media. Through this video, it is being claimed that Donald Trump made such a statement about Sheikh Hasina.
In the video, a voice resembling Trump’s can be heard saying:
“On the 15th of May, I will travel to Bangladesh with Sheikh Hasina. There is no reason to worry. Sheikh Hasina will come to Bangladesh as prime minister.”

Fact Check
Rumor Scanner’s team investigation reveals that Donald Trump did not make any comment titled “Sheikh Hasina is still the Prime Minister of Bangladesh.” Instead, this claim is being spread through a video in which Trump’s voice has been imitated using artificial intelligence (AI).
The investigation began by reviewing the viral video. It was found that there is a mismatch between Trump’s lip movements and the spoken words in the footage.
Through reverse image search, multiple videos were found showing Trump in the same location and wearing the same outfit – see video 1 and video 2. However, the statement in question was not found in any of them. Furthermore, no such statement has been published in written form by any national or international media outlet.
The video claims that Trump will visit Bangladesh on May 15. If someone as significant as Donald Trump were to visit Bangladesh, it would be covered by both national and international media. But as of the time this article was written (May 19), no credible source has reported any such planned visit by Trump to Bangladesh.
The audio part of the video was later analyzed using the deepfake detection tool Sensity. It was found that there is a 74.7% probability that Trump’s alleged statement is fake.
In addition, according to the “Lip-synced Deepfake Detection” model of the deepfake detection tool Deepfake-o-meter, there is a 99.4% probability that the video is fake.

Conclusion
Thus, using AI technology, a video imitating Donald Trump’s voice was created and is being falsely spread as a comment by Trump about Sheikh Hasina—which is untrue.
