Fact-check
The Rumor Scanner Team’s investigation reveals that this is not a photo from any shoot of Bear Grylls’ ‘Man vs. Wild’ show. Instead, an image from the shooting of an animated movie titled ‘BEAR GRYLLS Young Adventurer’ has been recently shared under this widely discussed claim.
In this investigation, the photo used in the viral claim was found through reverse search on Facebook. The original image was posted on Bear Grylls’ official page on May 16 here. In that post, Bear Grylls wrote, “Thank you to a great team helping us create some add-ons around our first animated movie ‘Bear Grylls Young Adventurer: Endangered.’ Weird to work with a green screen, but as ever – adapt, overcome, and improve.”
Notably, in November 2022, when the same photo was circulated as a scene from the shooting of ‘Man vs. Wild,’ Rumor Scanner published a fact-check report on the matter at that time here.
