Investigations by the Rumor Scanner team revealed that the viral video of chair vandalism is not from Atif Aslam’s concert. The footage originates from the inauguration of Heaven City Center at Alankar Mor, Chattogram.

On November 29, Facebook user Sajal Sen shared a video (view post) matching the viral footage. The caption identified it as being from the inauguration of a shopping mall, Heaven City Center, at Alankar Mor, Chattogram.

In the post’s comments, the uploader clarified that the vandalism resulted from fans’ frustration over not being able to watch musician Mainul Ahsan Noble perform.

Another Facebook user, Nafi, shared a similar video (view post), corroborating that the vandalism occurred at the Heaven City Center inauguration in Chattogram. Fans were reportedly upset due to Mainul Ahsan Noble’s absence.

Heaven City Center’s official Facebook page confirmed that the inauguration ceremony occurred on November 29 and included plans for performances by various artists, including Mainul Ahsan Noble (view post). Two days prior, on November 27, Noble had posted a video (view post) expressing his intention to attend.

On November 29, Noble shared a video on his personal Facebook page (view post), explaining his absence was due to temporary security concerns. He assured fans that rescheduling updates would follow.

Conclusion

The viral video depicting audience vandalism originates from the inauguration of Heaven City Center at Alankar Mor, Chattogram. It is unrelated to Atif Aslam’s concert at Dhaka’s Army Stadium. Thus, the circulating claim is misleading.
