Recently, a video has been circulated on social media with the claim, “Viewers warning…. Alas, Bangladesh of the great! – Viewers warning: the photo or video contains extreme video graphics. Please do not watch it if you have any health issues.”

Fact-Check
Rumor Scanner team’s investigation reveals that the circulated video is not related to any recent incident of a woman being assaulted in front of a child. Instead, it is footage from a leaked explicit video involving the jailer of Munshiganj prison in 2024.
At the beginning of the investigation, the video in question was analyzed, but no reliable evidence was found to support the claim made in the post.
Upon conducting a reverse image search, the widely circulated video was traced to a Facebook account named Md Tarikul Islam Bhuyian. A post from this account featured a video report with the Kalbela logo, captioned “Jailer’s inappropriate video with a prisoner’s wife goes viral.” A segment of this video matches the footage used in the misleading claim circulating on social media.
Based on this post, a report titled ‘Objectionable video of jailer with prisoner’s wife leaked!’ was found on Kalbela’s website, published on February 19, 2025.
According to this report:
“An explicit video of Nur Mohammad Mridha, the jailer of Munshiganj District Prison, has been leaked. (…) The circulated video shows several young men detaining Nur Mohammad and a woman in an undressed state while recording the scene. A child nearby can be seen crying during the incident. Despite the woman’s repeated objections, the individuals continue recording. (…) The video dates back to March 2024, when Nur Mohammad was serving as the jailer of Magura District Prison. During that time, he allegedly engaged in an illicit relationship with a man’s wife. After the video went viral, the matter was reported to the district administration, district police, and prison authorities.”
Additionally, a report titled ‘Objectionable video of jailer with prisoner’s wife goes viral again’ was published on the mainstream news website Daily Janakantha on February 19, 2025. This report stated that, “although this video is two years old, (…) it was recently recirculated on Facebook after Nur Mohammad Mridha was appointed as the chairman of the governing body of a school in his village. (…) Following the incident, departmental action was taken against him. However, due to the intervention of several influential political leaders from the previous Awami League government, he managed to avoid consequences at that time.”
Conclusion
Thus, the video of the leaked objectionable incident involving the Munshiganj Prison jailer from 2024 has been falsely claimed to depict a recent case of a woman being raped in front of a child. This claim is false.
