A fake photocard bearing the logo of mainstream outlet Jamuna TV is being circulated on TikTok, claiming that the interim government has suspended six months’ rations for the armed forces.

Rumor Scanner’s investigation found that Jamuna TV did not publish any photocard or news report claiming that the government suspended six months’ rations for the armed forces. In fact, no such suspension of rations has occurred. The viral photocard was fabricated using digital editing to imitate the channel’s design.
At the start of the investigation, a closer look at the circulated photocard showed Jamuna TV’s logo and the publication date “30 July 2025.”
Following this lead, Rumor Scanner reviewed recently published photocards on Jamuna TV’s official Facebook page. No photocard carrying this headline was found. Similarly, no such report or information was available on Jamuna TV’s website. Moreover, no other news outlet in the country published any report supporting the claim.
Additionally, differences in font style and logo placement between the viral photocard and Jamuna TV’s authentic photocards were noticeable.
This indicates that the viral photocard was fabricated by copying Jamuna TV’s design.
Ordinarily, if the government or the Advisory Council had made such a significant decision regarding armed forces’ rations, mainstream news media would have covered it extensively. However, no credible sources or domestic news platforms carried any such report.
